Wakefield, Dolphene “Dolly,” 79, Mount Union, passed away on November 11, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born July 19, 1946, daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Stevens) Fisher. Dolly is survived by son, David Troy Kidd; daughters, Bonita Varner, Billie Jo Park and husband Troy; grandsons, Zachary, Devin and wife Rebekah; granddaughters, Kelsey and husband William, Abigail and husband Joshua, Kristen and husband Nate; great-grandsons, Rogan, Wyatt, Benton, Desmond, Rhett, Harrison; great-granddaughters, Jorja Lei, Scarlette, Willow, Emma, Raelyn, Reese, Carra, Sutton, Charlotte, and Berkley. She is also preceded in death by an infant great-grandson, Hudson. Dolly was known for being devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she spent her life caring for others with a gentle spirit and a generous heart. For many years, she worked as a cafeteria worker for the Mount Union School District, where she was known for her kindness, her warm smile, and the way she made every child feel seen and cared for. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and familiarity to generations of students and staff. A faithful member of the First Church of Mount Union, she lived her life grounded in compassion, gratitude, and service. Her family was her greatest joy—she adored her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchildren, who brought endless light into her days. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: working on puzzles, spending time with family, and ending each evening in the company of her beloved cat, Stella, with whom she shared a nightly bowl of ice cream. Her devotion to those she loved was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth, devotion, and quiet strength. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10:00 – 12:00 at the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home with a service at 12:00. Paster Tate Pollock officiating. Private burial to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
