Domenic Peter Palermo, age 83, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away peacefully on

October 22, 2025, in Mayfield Heights.

Born on September 6, 1942, to the late Anthony and Lucia Palermo (née

Fontanazza), Domenic grew up in Little Italy but spent his adult life in Lake

County, where he built a beautiful life surrounded by family and friends.

He wasthe beloved husband of Beatrice Palermo (née Capasso) for 59 wonderful years.

Together, they shared a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and unconditional love.

Domenic was the devoted father of Nicholas (Amy) Palermo and Sheryl (Kevin)

Grobelny; and the cherished grandfather of Anthony Palermo, Sophia Palermo,

Madeline Grobelny, and Jackson Grobelny-all of whom brought him tremendous

pride and joy.

He was the dear brother of Kathy Blewett, and was preceded in

death by his parents and his sister Angela Klann.

Domenic enjoyed a long career as an accountant, but those who knew him best

knew he would have been happiest painting houses-something he found

relaxing and rewarding. He was a proud member of the Italian American Club,

where he loved spending time "shooting the breeze" with friends.

As a sports fan, Domenic spent countless Sundays cheering and commiserating

through the ups and downs of games, especially football. He also had an

adventurous spirit-he and Beatrice were avid cruisers who traveled the world

together, visiting every continent except Antarctica and taking more than 40

cruises over the years.

Family was always at the heart of Domenic's life. He adored his grandchildren and

loved spending time with them, vacationing in the Outer Banks, bringing them

donuts or cheese curls, playing games like Pretty Pretty Princess when they were

small, letting them put him in "time out" for bad behavior, or getting wings at a

local restaurant. Some of his happiest moments were made being silly and

laughing with them.

Domenic will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and gentle heart, and for

the way he made everyone around him feel loved and valued.
