Dominick J. Del Gavio Jr. 61, of
Plaistow, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, April 29th, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and son.
He was born on September 4,1962 to the late Anna L. (Mincieli) and Dominick J. Del Gavio Sr. Dominick was born in Jersey City and raised in
Fort Lee, New Jersey, where he attended the Epiphany School, Fort Lee High School, and earned his bachelor's degree from DeVry University.
Upon graduation, Dominick was the very proud owner of B&B Ice Cream Enterprise, followed by a life-long career in technology, working for IBM, Verizon, Goodman Solutions, and was currently employed as a Field Service Manager for Lighting Retrofit Services (LRS) in Wilmington, MA where he loved going to work every day and was considered part of the LRS family.
Dominick spent his summers with family and friends at Long Beach Island (LBI), New Jersey and Seabrook Beach. A kind, gentle spirit, he was a man of integrity -caring, loving, and supportive to all who crossed his path. He was an avid fan of the LA Rams and NY Yankees. A lover of music, Dom could always be found playing the drums and working out in his basement to Led Zeppelin, U2, and Bruce Springsteen, who he recently saw in concert while celebrating his 60th birthday. To his family, Dom was also known as the dog whisperer and had a special place in his heart for his pups, Molly, Jessie, and Chelsea who will meet him at the rainbow bridge. Dominick was a devout Catholic and genuinely loved his family, who will forever miss him and take comfort in knowing he will be reunited with his mother Anna and father Dominick Sr.
A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Dominick is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 25 years, Karrie Gianetti-Del Gavio; his son, Dominick Joseph Del Gavio III, whom he adored, was very proud of and brought so much joy to his life. Being the youngest of five children, he leaves his siblings, Diane Voltolina and her husband Ted Sr., Rudy Del Gavio and his wife Mei, Sandra Shaw and her husband Lex, and Marie Del Gavio-Saville and her husband Phil; his mother-in-law, Joanne Payson and partner Moe Bisson; his sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Boggiatto and her husband Anthony; his nieces and nephews, Teddy Voltolina Jr. and his wife Emily, Lisa Grgas and her husband Josh, Andrea Connell and her husband Daniel, Kailing Del Gavio, Steven Shaw, Dominique Martinez and her husband Jacob, Maria Carlson, Anthony and Ryan Boggiatto; great nephews James and Matthew Voltolina and Joey Connell; as well as his beloved dog, Karli and her sister Lily.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 5th, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road,
Windham, NH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 6th, at St. Anne's Parish, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH and can be viewed live stream at www.saintannechurchnh.org
