Viewing and visitation for Don Dave Ackerman will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 12:00 - 8:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.Don Dave Ackerman was born December 13, 1971 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Jerry Ackerman and Betty Vance. He passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 53.Don was a country boy that loved to fish and could be found tinkering on motors or in the yard. He loved his grandkids and family dearly. "Papa Don" was a favorite nickname of his. The only thing he loved almost as much as his family was his motorcycle. He could be found in a du-rag, sunglasses and his leather vest enjoying the open road. No stranger to adventure, Don once rode bulls and even breaking his neck while riding. He was always quick with a joke or a laugh and often played pranks on those around him. Don made people laugh and or shake their heads and will be greatly missed by all! Survivors include his wife, Jo Ella (Perry) Ackerman of Seminole; his father, Jerry Ackerman and wife Susan of Okemah; his mother, Betty Vance of Okemah; children, Kristin Carmichael (Nick) of Okemah, Mindy Robison (Nick) of Paden, Jonny Johnson of Tulsa, Cody Johnson (Leetka) of Henryetta, Ranger Ackerman of Glenpool, Feather Comstock (Joseph) of Okemah and Rebecca Fairres (Larry) of Okemah; step children, Nickie Tate (Gena) of El Reno and Paul Tate (Melissa) of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, John Ackerman of Cromwell and Roy Hall of Henryetta; one sister, Michelle Farris (Kenny) of Okemah; 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
