Don DenTandt, 78, passed away on August 17, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on July 24, 1947, in Rockford, Illinois, Don lived a life marked by dedication to his faith, his work, and those around him.
Don built a distinguished career as both an electrical engineer and a software engineer. His professional life reflected his analytical mind and commitment to innovation. Throughout his career, he approached each challenge with integrity and diligence, earning the respect of colleagues and peers alike.
A man of deep faith, Don was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a devoted temple attendee and found great purpose in his spiritual service. His involvement in the church extended beyond attendance-he was known for his willingness to help at any time of need and for being a friend to everyone he met.
Don's warmth and generosity touched many lives. Those who knew him remember him as a loving person whose kindness left a lasting impression. Whether through quiet acts of service or steadfast support during difficult times, Don exemplified compassion and selflessness.
He is lovingly remembered by his brother Roger DenTandt; children Carl DenTandt (Angela), David DenTandt (Sarah), Kathy DenTandt, Heather DenTandt, Jacob DenTandt, and Angela DenTandt; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol DenTandt.
May Don's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness in his honor.
A Visitation will be held on August 28, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM to be followed by a Funeral Service 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at
