French Funerals & Cremations - Golf Course & ParadiseCelebrating the Life of Ruth Ann Dobler October 4, 1938 - May 25, 2025
Ruth Ann Dobler passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and service. Born in Missouri and raised in Tennessee, Ruth's adventurous spirit and caring nature carried her through a life well-lived.
She built her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but her heart also found joy in her time spent in Hemet and Riverside, California. Ruth retired from Edison International, where she dedicated her career to helping others conserve energy and reduce household costs. Even in retirement, she never stopped giving back-volunteering with Bear Canyon Senior Center and Roadrunner Food Bank, and lovingly crocheting baby blankets for the Linus Project, which were donated to premature babies in local hospitals.
Ruth had a zest for life and traveled extensively, always seeking new experiences and connections. She was an avid reader, puzzle-solver, and lifelong learner who cherished keeping her mind active.
Ruth was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Dobler, her stepdaughter Belen Lavin, her treasured grandchildren Vanessa, Mark, Nikki, Scott, and Steven, her nephew Joe and his wife Lisa, and her niece Cathy. She is preceded in death by her daughter Renee Dobler (2024) and the love of her life, Gil Lavin (2003).
Ruth's warmth and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family and friends will remember her as a woman who gave freely of herself, shared joy generously, and inspired others to live with purpose and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at French Funerals & Cremations, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. Loved ones are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Ruth's remarkable life.
