Don Henson

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Don Errol Henson, who left us on June 4, 2024, at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. A Marine, a man of immense humor, wisdom, and valor cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. His unwavering spirit will forever be remembered.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Rhonda; children Kelly(Tim) Manis, Elisa (Sam) Moore, Scott Henson, Jodi (Mathew Sr)Cooper, Jayme (Jon) Gardener; grandchildren Zackary Ingle, Hank(Lashae) Henson, Karlie (Brian) Hamilton, Will DeLoach, Hattie DeLoach, Norah Henson, Harper Eller, Light Gardener, Vivian Eller, Takeda Gardener, Emi Gardener, Mathew Cooper Jr., Collin Moore, Chris Moore, and Taylor Moore; great-grandchildren, Blakely, Porter, and Ruby; sisters Diana, Patti, and Kathy who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Henson; parents, Claudell and Hattie Henson; and sister Gail Vest
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Noel Caldwell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour of 3:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's honor to the Northwest Georgia Humane Society, the Shriner's Hospital, or the Disabled American Veterans.
