Don Michael Merrell

Don Michael Merrell, 74, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:10 am, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on January 18, 1951, in Wabash, to Edward Hughes and Mary Jane (Tomson) Merrell.
Don was a 1969 graduate from Wabash High School. He married Martha Futrell in Wabash on January 17, 1970. Don was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, the Cannonball Motorcycle Club, and the American Motorcycle Association. Don enjoyed spending countless hours riding his motorcycles, enjoyed his dogs, but above all else he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Merrell of Wabash, two sons, Mike (Paula Bailey) Merrell of Wabash, and Brian (Mary) Merrell of Roann, Indiana, 11 grandchildren; David Merrell, Brandon (Jackie Foust) Merrell, Zachary (Paige) Merrell, Nicole (Trent) Parson, Andrew (Adrien Adkins) Bailey, Andrea Merrell, Hali (Alex Barr) Horon, Sean Merrell, Keith Merrell, Austin (Alexis Hyden) Merrell, and Emit Merrell, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Friends may call 12:00 - 2:00 pm Saturday, at the funeral home.
