Don Rowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Neal Funeral Home on Dec. 16, 2025.
Don Rowe
1953-2025
"His hands were always working, and his heart was always home."
Don Rowe, age 72, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, departed on his Heavenly Journey with a heart full of fond memories and love for his family, on December 15, 2025.
Don was born on a warm spring day, on May 25, 1953. He was the blessing of the late Ernest and Alice Cole Rowe. He attended North Judson High School in Judson, IN. It was here that he met an Angel and his life changed forever. He married Carol Angel and began his ever-growing family. The two raised three daughters together and those girls blessed them with the most precious grandbabies.
Although Don worked as a cake baker at Daniels Bakery, he wore many hats. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed tinkering on cars, boats, anything with a motor. At any given time, it was nothing to see at least ten cars parked at the house. It didn't matter the task, from electrical work, to laying down floors, Don was always up for the work and ready to "fix it", especially when it came to his daughter's needs. There wasn't anything they couldn't call on "Daddy" for. It was that kind of love that kept his family relationships so close over the years. Even though he had many titles in life, it was the title of Papaw that he wore best. He doted over his grandbabies with a love that could never be broken.
Don lived a life rooted in love, hard work, and quiet devotion to those he held dear. The memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on through his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his presence will forever remain in the laughter, stories, and hearts of those who were blessed to know and love him.
Don leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Carol Angel Rowe, his biggest accomplishments, his daughters, Brenda Stidham (Ronnie), Debbi Arnett, and Rebecca Rowe and her husband Justin, all of Catlettsburg, KY, nine precious grandchildren, Breanna, Jonathon, Shae, Aaliyah, Emmy, Austin, Ashton, Logan, and Eastyn, three beloved great-grandchildren, Kayslee, Cole, and River, and two brothers as well as two sisters.
A visitation for Don will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, located at 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg, from 11am to 12:45pm, followed by a grave side service at Catlettsburg Cemetery at 1:00 PM, with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating.
