He was born on March 5, 1940 in Louisville to the late Addie Smith Stuart and Harry Stuart.
He worked as a Pressman for Standard Gravure, retiring after 30+ years and was a member of the Bluegrass Beagle Club for over 50 years.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Jean Hopewell Stuart; and daughter, Daria Ann Stuart.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Stuart (Alaina Miller); grandchildren, Kathryn Stuart, Rachel Miller and Eric Ford; brother, Harry Stuart; sisters, Margaret Bennett and Mary Wilbert; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday.
