Dona Mae (Weber) Frakes age 92, of Neenah passed away peacefully on Saturday May 17, 2025. Dona was born on October 30, 1932 in Kaukauna daughter of the late Ervin and Edith (Pontow) Weber. On October 20, 1951 she married Richard Frakes. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 63 wonderful years.
While Dona enjoyed employment at local restaurants and deli's over the years, there was always time to enjoy family and friendships at Boulder Lake Campground! Family, snowmobiling, swimming and fishing were important components of her life. The Packer game was always a topic of conversation with Dick a Viking fan and Dennis a Bear fan, leaving Dona and Dave to defend the Packers team. After Dick passed in 2015, Dennis stepped in to care for Dona in her final years, offering daily car rides to local ice cream shops and visiting friends, The day usually was followed up by a golf cart ride in the neighborhood. Her life well lived.
Dona is survived by her two sons: Dennis Frakes and David (Stacy) Frakes; two grandchildren: Jacob (Becky) Frakes and Jordan (Mark) Vanderloop; three great-grandchildren: Morgan, Grace and Jack "Peanut". She is further survived by her sister: Phyllis Hendricks, her sister-in-law Cathy Weber and a niece very special to her, Sharon Duuck.
Dona was preceded in death by her husband Richard; siblings: Jean Hawkins Smith, June Steinke, Jack "Jake" Weber and William "Butts" Weber.
Special thank you to her hospice nurse Lexi, social worker Stephanie, CNA Jeanie, Sally and the Theda Care Hospice Team for the love and compassion they provided and also thank you to special friend and caretaker Ginny.
