Dona S. "Wood" Geroux

Dona Sue (Wood) Geroux, 52, of Warrensburg, NY, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday, January 2, 2026, with her beloved husband of 32 years, Chris, by her side.

Along with her husband Chris, Dona is survived by her caring sister, Iona Harrington and her husband Albon, of Thurman, NY; her loving in-laws, David and Donna Geroux, of Gansevoort, NY, whom she loved dearly; her wonderful neighbors, who became family, Judy and Ivan "Sam" Vurnum; her Aunt Tina and Uncle Rick, of Ticonderoga, NY, and Uncle Cassius "Bucky" Morehouse, of Warrensburg, all of whom she was very fond of; as well as her nieces and nephew: Destiny, Annette, Amanda, Chrissy, and Seth (wife Ashley). Dona was predeceased by her stepsister, Alice Frasier.

Dona was born in Glens Falls, New York, daughter of the late Walter C. and Ethel (Moffitt) Wood. She was raised and educated in Warrensburg, and graduated from Adirondack Community College with a degree in Hospitality. Most recently, Dona worked as a Night Auditor for Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, NY.

In her spare time, Dona enjoyed going snowmobiling and four-wheeling with Chris. She loved traveling and visiting the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and the trails of West Virginia. Dona also enjoyed doing arts and crafts and especially diamond art and putting together recipe books for family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her three wonderful dogs.

Per Dona wishes, there will no immediate services. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, Auburn, MA, is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
