Donald Lee Baine, 60, of Mulkeytown, passed away on Friday May 23, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 2, 1964 in Benton, IL to Thomas and Phyllis (Cole) Baine Jr. He married Shelley (Johnson) Baine on September 27, 1997 and she survives of Mulkeytown. He is also survived by his daughters Madison Baine of Mulkeytown and Katelynn (Slaton Mathis) Baine of Martin, TN; two brothers Thomas (Debbie) Baine III of Valier and Bobby (Jennifer) Baine of Missouri; mother Phyllis Baine of mother-in-law Gloria Jenkins of Christopher and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Baine Jr. and father-in-law Jim Jenkins. Donnie loved his family and spending time in the outdoors with his girls and his friends, and he loved to cook. He was a member of the Sesser Ducks Unlimited and was inducted into the Ducks Unlimited Hall of Fame. He was an Alumni of the 4-H and the FFA. Funeral service will be on Friday May 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with Pastor Chris Hottensen. Visitation will be on Thursday May 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sesser Ducks Unlimited and will be accepted at the funeral home.
