Donald Ralph Boezeman Jr., 49, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on October 14, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Born on November 3, 1975, in Brook, Indiana, Don lived a life marked by faith, love, and quiet leadership.
A graduate of North Newton High School and Purdue University, Don went on to build a successful career with Katz, Sapper & Miller, where he worked for 25 years. As a partner, he was admired by colleagues and clients for his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic.
Don was deeply devoted to his family and faith. He was a loving husband and proud father who found happiness in every moment spent with Liz, Emily, Drew, and Ellory. Over the years, he could be found coaching baseball, working swim meets, and biking and golfing alongside his kids. He loved every minute spent with them and was known for his dad jokes. The Boezemans shared many travel adventures together, having explored most of the country’s top national parks and camped at many of Indiana’s state parks. Don loved being outdoors—hiking and exploring with his family. He also enjoyed golfing and spent many hours trying to perfect his golf swing.
Don’s faith in God was the foundation of his life. A member of Northview Church since 2005, he played a part in helping launch the Fishers campus in 2013. As a leader on the welcome team, Don found joy in greeting attendees on Sunday mornings. He could often be found at the info desk telling stories and corny jokes. He always had a smile for everyone. His family often had to pull him out of the church lobby after services because he was always caught up talking with someone. In recent years, Don began serving with the Grace Care Center Mobile Food Pantry, where his easygoing and friendly manner put shoppers at ease.
An avid sports fan, Don enjoyed spending his free time watching football and basketball. Ever the loyal Boilermaker, he rarely missed watching a Purdue football or basketball game. Every fall, Don celebrated his birthday by taking his family to a football game at Ross–Ade Stadium. A Chicago Bears fan in his younger days, Don switched his allegiance to the Indianapolis Colts when he moved to the Indianapolis area. He had an uncanny knack for fantasy football and remembering sports stats. When a friend was trying to recall a bit of sports trivia, it was usually Don they turned to for the answer.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Boezeman; his children, Emily (21), Drew (17), and Ellory (13); his parents, Donald and Emma Boezeman; his brother, Derrick (Jennyfer) Boezeman; his sister, Debbie Boezeman; his mother-in-law, Terry Romine; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dustin and Julie Heath, Ricky and Sarah Light, Beverly Bristow, and Ryan and Kristi Miller. He will also be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews: Abby, Molly, Eliza, Declan, Cora, Jaxon, Maeve, Mariah, Preston, Kenzee, Bryson, Breanna, Olivia, Maddox, Tanner and Dainya .
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Don’s life on Tuesday, October 28, at Northview Church, 14842 E 136th St., Fishers, IN 46037. Visitation will be held from 3:30–5:30 p.m., followed by a service at 6 p.m. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northview Church Missions or the Grace Care Center Mobile Food Pantry.
Don will be remembered for his faith, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy of love, courage, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
