Donald A. Caron, age 67, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, February 7, 2025, following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Barbara J. and Vernon M. Caron. He is survived by his siblings: Nancy L. Madden of North Easton, MA, Gary W. Caron of Wilmington, DE, and Susan M. Caron of North Easton, MA and his niece, Jennifer L. Madden of North Easton, MA.
Don was born in Boston, MA and raised in Randolph, MA. He later resided in Keene, NH and Haines City, FL before ultimately settling in North Easton, MA. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1976. Following graduation, he worked varied jobs over the course of his life. He was employed as an intern for the MSPCA Angell Memorial and employed as a records retention specialist, retail manager, and field auditor with Cumberland Farms, Inc. He later worked for Caldor’s Department Store and Christies Supermarkets. Before retiring in 2014, he was employed as a woodworker and carpenter specializing in building customized ornate doors for a company out of Florida.
In retirement, he enjoyed computer coding, online gaming, sports, grilling, gardening, and, on occasion, socializing with his friends, our neighbors, as well as friends on social media.
Don was an innately loving and caring person with a keen sense of humor. He had great love for his family, his pets, the Boston Bruins, and the Red Sox. He enjoyed communing with nature and the local wildlife. His gentle presence will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, MA on Thursday, February 20th from 12-1:30 PM with Funeral Prayers at 1:30 PM In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory may be made to the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) at https://donorbox.org/donate-to-the-apcsm or at 1300 W.
