Donald Carl Dean Jr., 56, of Amarillo, TX passed away August 24, 2025.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-6 PM, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Donald was born April 1, 1969, in Modesto, CA, to Donald Carl Dean Sr. and Eva Mae Smith. He graduated from Merced High School then moved to Amarillo, TX in 1995. Donald worked for the TDCJ for 18 years. He had recently worked as a service manager for Orkin Pest Control.

Donald loved to fish, golf, and watch the LA Dodgers and attending Amarillo Sod Poodles games. He was a talented musician and a member of Encounter Church. He married Jamie Carr on January 9, 1993, in Reno, NV.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Eva Dean; grandson, Greg; sister, Donna Tiwater; and brother, William Dean.

Donald is survived by his wife, Jamie Dean of Amarillo, TX; children, Jessica Ehrenberg and husband Greg of Missouri, Wyatt Adam Dean and wife Alex of Amarillo, TX, and Dakota Dean and wife Lacey of Tennessee; grandchildren, Kaylee, Elizabeth, Jayla, Gabby, Brooklynn, Branch, Andrea, Addison, and Ericka; and siblings, Donna Puett and husband Gene, Linda Ruminer, Sheri Henry and husband Butch, Carolyn Swain, Teresa Lenz and husband Michael, Shalett Smallwood and husband Mike, Andrew Dean and wife Robin, and Rodney Dean.
