Donald "Don" David Derezinski, 82, unexpectedly went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Aspirus Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Ritchay Funeral Home.
Born on May 21, 1942, in Wittenberg, WI, Don lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and joy. He was united in marriage to Bonita "Bonnie" Danczyk, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Don had a passion for baking and loved experimenting with new recipes, especially his signature pizzas. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open his first bakery in Lac du Flambeau, WI, where he invented the unique "Pizza Pillow." Later, he owned Bakers Dozen in Wisconsin Rapids before founding Neumark Design & Print, where he thrived on connecting with others through his work. Even after the sale of Neumark, Don remained active in sales, always staying true to his famous saying, "I will never retire." He found joy in keeping busy and engaging with people.
Don was preceded in death by his infant twin brother, Ronald; his biological mother Sophie, his adoptive parents, Raymond and Josephine (Joan) Derezinski; his stepfather, Chester (Chet) Dreva; and his brother-in-law, Greg Engfer.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his children, Mary (Mark), David (Dolly), and Daniel (Giovanna); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Tyler, Josiah (Denise), Asa, Jacob (Cheyenne), Justin (Aubrey), Jessica, and Khaleesi; his great grandchildren James, Ryan, Colton, Aria, Hayden, and Hudson; and his sister, Christine Engfer. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Don's kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and work will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
