Donald Ecken Obituary
Louisville - Donald Ecken, 71, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
He was born March 14, 1950, in Louisville, a son of Bob and Gerry Ecken.
Don was a graduate of Desales High School and the University of Louisville, and was a longtime member of Audubon Country Club.
Don was one of the fortunate people that spent 45 years in a job that he loved as President and CEO of Kentucky Sheet Metal Contractor Association (KSMCA) and Kentucky Chapter Executive of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association, Inc. (SMACNA).
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Ecken and brother-in-law, Ron "Hondo" Webb.
Don is survived by the love of his life of 30 years, Charlotte McGavic; daughter, Jenny Williams; granddaughters, Trish Smith and Amanda Williams; brothers, Ron Ecken (Mary), Pat Ecken (Robin); sisters, Debbie Kennedy (Rick) and Cindy Webb; and his canine companion, Kramer.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, July 12, 2021 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews. Visitation will be from 2-7 pm Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
