Donald Eldridge, age 64, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife, Freida Collins Eldridge; his father, Grant Eldridge; four children, Timothy Eldridge of London, KY, Stephanie Eldridge of Rogers, KY, Sonya Smith & husband Bobby of Berea, KY, Barbara Collins of Hyden, KY; eight siblings, Carolyn Raehal & husband Jeff of Letcher Co, KY, Gary Eldridge & wife Myra of Letcher Co., KY, Grant Eldridge Jr. & Angie of Letcher Co, KY, Abby Hansel & husband Mike of Tennessee, Diana Sexton & husband L.D. of Letcher Co, KY, Daniel Eldridge & wife Brenda of Letcher Co., KY, Roy Eldridge of Letcher Co, KY, Angie Halcomb & husband Scott of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Jakob Warren, Izabella Hall, Jayden Jones, Jordan Collins, Christian Smith, Faith Morgan; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Eli, Chloe; his beloved dog, Nemo "Wawa"; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith "Hodge" Eldridge; his brother, David Eldridge; his nephew, Aaron Eldridge; and by his niece, Santana Eldridge. Donald was a retired surface miner with Kannan Mining, where he dedicated many years of hard work and friendship. Donald was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and trading and collecting guns. Above all, Donald's greatest joy was his family. He deeply adored his children and grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. A highlight of his life came last year when he was baptized at Camp Branch Pentecostal Church in Letcher County, a step of faith that brought him great peace. Donald will be remembered for his devotion to family, his love of the outdoors, and the quiet strength he carried through life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donald will be laid to rest at the Collins Family Cemetery in Leslie County, Kentucky. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
