Donald Dean Green, 82, formerly La Farge, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, and was born to John and Lydia (Bickel) Green, on October 4, 1943, in Richland Center, WI. He married his wife, Christine (Cudek) Green on July 12, 1969, in Northbrook, IL.
A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford IL, 61108.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lydia and John Green. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine; and his son, John Green.
Don loved hunting, boating and fishing.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alden Debes Subacute Unit, 6141 Elaine Dr., Rockford IL, 61108, or to Unity Hospice and Palliative Care, 915 N. Carol Rd, Rochelle IL, 61068.
