Donald was born in Lafayette, Ga., Jan 4, 1942. He served in the United States Navy. He was a passionate man of faith and put all of his trust in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His sense of humor kept everyone entertained and he was the king of nicknames. Donald enjoyed singing, reading, and spending time with his family. Loved by all who knew him, he was a supportive and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Preceeded in death by parents Rev. A.H "Buck" Griffin and Donnis Brock Griffin, brother Reuel Griffin, and sisters Freida Griffin and Beverly Bramlett.
He is survived by his loving wife Diana Griffin; his children, Austin Griffin and wife Becky; Donnis Davis; Don Griffin Jr; Elizabeth Martin and husband Joseph; Annie Mendez and fiancee Tyler Shaneyfelt; Jake Griffin and wife Toni; Ben Griffin and wife Chrissy; Josh Griffin and wife Jennifer; John Griffin and wife Haylee; and Sarah Glanton and husband Kevin. 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sister Germaine Copeland and husband Everette.
Memorial service will be held at Christ Chapel Hampton, Sunday, April 16th, at 3pm.
