In memory of a cherished husband, Donald Lloyd Hanchey, who passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 74 in Henderson, TX. Born on September 9, 1950, to Merl and Pauline Hanchey in Liberty, TX, he spent his days as a dedicated oilfield consultant, eventually retiring from Baker Hughes.
Donald, known for his unwavering faith, was an active member of the New Work Worship Center – finding solace and purpose within his community.
Donald is survied by his wife, Bonnie Hanchey; children, Ra'Gena McNeely and husband Danny, Troy Hanchey, Casey Hanchey, and wife Jami; step children, Stacey Fouse and Casey Perkins; grandchildren: Kayla McNeely Hobson and husband Adam, Kaleb McNeely and Wife Sarah, Colt Hanchey and wife Krystal, Sara Torres and husband Bruce, Kara Fountain and husband Joey, Devon Hanchey, Tucker Hanchey, Case Hanchey, Colynn Fouse, Treylynn Fouse, Hunter Holder and Bellini Alford; cherished granddaughter, Nova; great-grandchildren: KayDee Stevens, Hallie Hobson, Hayes Hobson, Austin McNeely, Charlie Kate Hanchey, Zayne Hanchey, Haisley Hanchey, Addalyn Roach, Jaxson Porter, and Brody Regalado; sisters, Frances Boone and husband William, Delores Cunningham, and husband Cecil as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by, is wife, Shirley (Katie) Kay Hanchey, of 43 years; son, Corey D. Hanchey; and grandchildren, Corey A. Hanchey and Kale McNeely; and sisters Bernice Pichotta and Merle Jean Hanchey
As we remember a life well-lived, we invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Donald's spirit at a visitation on Friday, September 27 from 1 to 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. A graveside will take place right after at 2:30 in Gladewater Memorial Park, Gladewater, Texas. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
