Sorry for your loss. I went to school with Doug at St. Mary's. Only saw Doug twice after that. Once he came back from out west in his Ford Pickup with a camper on back. He was visiting his grandparents. My folks lived right across the street. The other time was at a Metamora Football game with his dad. I use to see Mr. Harbers at recycle facility by the water tower in Metamora once in a while. God Bless

I played a lot of golf with Don and his brother in law Dick Weisenberger at Parkview GC in Pekin, IL. Don was one of the nicest guys I've ever met on a golf course or off. He was also very funny. Often after golf several of us would go for lunch at Steak n Shake or one of his favorites Taco Bell. So Don would start planting not so subliminal messages at about the 15 hole. He would say quietly "taco taco?". The last time I saw him was about 2017. We played Metamora Fields with Bobby Garber. He still had game and of course still a great gentleman. May he rest in peace and be reunited in Heaven with Hilda. My prayers to family members.
