Donald Houston

Donald Houston 80, of Wadsworth passed away October 28, 2025. Don was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on September 28, 1945 to the late Fred and Freda (Hanzie) Houston.
He loved family trips, especially to Canada for fishing where his Pike he caught grew in size every year.He enjoyed spending time with wife after he retired. Don always attended Wadsworth sporting events, and could possibly be the #1 fan for all Wadsworth sports. He always loved girls Basketball even when his daughter was little girl, before girls basketball was really an organized sport, which Don was partially responsible for organizing the sport.
He was part of the Grid Iron Club and the Football Boosters Club.
Don was preceded in death my his wife, Dawn Houston (nee Leatherman). Survived by his loving daughter, Ashley (Michael Brouse) Houston. Granddaughters, Kateryn Wright and Cassie Arnold. Grandson, P.J. and sister in law Erin (Pete) Arnold.
Don was the best Dad a girl could have ever have ask for and he will be deeply missed. Ashley was grateful that she was chosen by him and that he was her Dad. Ashley will never forget just how much Don taught her over the years of her life. Watching him with his granddaughters and sports friends was always enjoyable. People who knew Don, would say he was stubborn and impatient, yet loving and kind. He was a rock to many people.
The family will have a private services for Don at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery.
