Donald Kanka

Donald P. Kanka, 71, of Ewing, NJ, passed away suddenly June 13th, 2024. Born in Trenton and a lifelong area resident, Don was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired in 2007 as a Captain with the City of Trenton Fire Department after 27 years and was employed at Brick Township Police Department as a Communications Technician.

Son of the late John and Dolores (Koller) Kanka, Uncle to the late Megan Kanka, brother-in-law to the late Duane Babecki. He is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years Valerie (Babecki) Kanka, his son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Erica Kanka of Bordentown, NJ, grandsons Miles and Maddox Kanka, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Maureen Kanka, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Victor and Leslie Babecki, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Scott and Joa
nne Clemmensen, sister-in-law Anne Marie Babecki, sister-in-law Karen Babecki, and brother-in-law Matthew Babecki and many nieces and nephews.

Private Cremation was held under the direction of the Hartmann Memorial Home 2830 Nottingham Way Mercerville NJ 08619.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to offer condolences Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Hartmann Memorial Home. A Service will be held at 11:30 am. Burial of Cremains will be private.
