Donald E. Little departed this life on September 30, 2025. Donald was born to the late Carl and Bettye Anne (Parker) Little on February 14, 1960. He was predeceased by his brother Derwin Little and sister Deirdre' Little Dixon.

Known affectionately by family and friends as "Don and Don Don" and "Papi Don" by his grandson Rhys. Don graduated from Junius H. Rose High School in 1977 in Greenville, N.C., and joined the U.S. Navy to embark on his career. During his honorable and outstanding time in the military, Don accomplished many achievements and traveled the world. He was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as Virginia Beach, VA. While stationed aboard the U.S.S. America (CV66 Battlegroup), Don was an outstanding Jet Engine Mechanic working on F-14 fighter jets. He served during Operation Desert Storm.

After retiring, Don became a sales and leasing consultant for several major automotive groups, and he always went the extra mile to satisfy his customers. After retirement, he had time to enjoy some of his favorite pastimes, which included: watching sports, a game of spades and dominoes. His favorite hobby of all was grilling out for his family. Don truly enjoyed teaching his only grandchild, Rhys, how to grill and tinker on cars; they also loved to fish together.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kyndell, his daughter Brookie, sons, Kevie and Dondre', his brothers Darrell and Dimitri Little of Greenville, NC, sister Angela Berry (Troy) of White Plains, Maryland, Aunt Sheila (Rob) of Raleigh, NC, Uncle James (Aunt Pearl) of Baltimore, MD; and Aunt Rose Little of Baltimore, MD, loving sisters-in-law, Brenda Johnson of Charlotte, NC, and Sherry Gallopes-Lewis of Chesapeake, VA, and a host of nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends that will forever miss Don.

Don will be laid to rest on October 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, located at 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. He will receive Navy military honors in recognition of his service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Home - Chesapeake Chapel.
