Donald was born February 8, 1948, in Chattanooga, TN. Donald was an over the road truck driver and a truck driver for Brown Industries for many years.
He loved life and was quite the prankster. Donald was a big Nascar fan and especially loved Dale Earnhardt.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Aughtham and Pearl Elizabeth (Rearden) Long; his daughter, Donna Long Perry; and an infant brother, Charlie Long.
Donald is survived by his wife, Theresa Long; 4 siblings, Wanda (Charles) Killough, Barbara McKnight, Bonnie Bell, and David (Karen) Long; many children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and beloved friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity or organization of your choice.
