Donald Edward McClure of Atco, formerly of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Thursday October 30, 2025 at the age of 98. He was born in Philadelphia on March 11, 1927 to the late Elwood and Elizabeth McClure. Don proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II and retired from Philadelphia Electric Co. where he worked as a mechanic for 40 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Maple Shade and was an active member and past president of the Maple Shade Lions Club. Don enjoyed woodworking, making crafts and along with his wife Ann would sell them at Rancocas Woods Craft Fairs. He took pleasure in gardening as well. Don will be dearly remembered for the love he had for his family.
Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Ann McClure who passed away last year after 50 years of marriage, and the late Barbara McClure (nee Holtzman), loving father of Sally (the late Glenn) Pritchett, Daniel (Debbie) McClure, Ann (Ted) Adams, Conrad (Susan) Baerman and Robert (Carolee) Baerman, cherished grandfather of 16, dear great grandfather of 18, also special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Tuesday November 4th, 10-11 AM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. His funeral service will follow 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.
