James P. Hughes of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Friday October 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years of age. He was a lifetime resident of Maple Shade, born in Philadelphia on August 25, 1950 to James and Eleanor Hughes. Jim proudly served his country in the US Army and was a retired carpenter.
Loving father of Jeanine Hughes and the late Anthony Hughes, cherished grandfather of Alexis Lafty, proud great grandfather of Greyson, Nicholas and Colson, dear brother of the late Jane (Maurice) Glisson, and the late Jeannine (Ed) Cahill, caring uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. A memorial service for Jim will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the MRK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, Maple Shade.
