Donald M. McNerlin, 67, of Mill Creek, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his residence. Born September 8, 1956 in Mill Creek, he was a son of the late Donald W. and Ruth E. (Tate) McNerlin. He was united in marriage to the former Beth A. Wise on November 11, 1990 in Mapleton. His wife of 33 years survives at their residence.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Derek M. McNerlin and Sarah B. Leonard and husband, Ronnie, all of Huntingdon; two grandchildren, Mason D. Leonard and Aidan J. Leonard; and three siblings, Michael McNerlin, Patrick McNerlin, and Anna Mae Stephens. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy McNerlin and Charles Stephens.
Donald was a member of the Huntingdon Elks Lodge No. 976 and the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
He attended Huntingdon public schools and was a 1974 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School.
After high school, Donald became employed at Bonney Forge, Mount Union, where he held various positions. He retired in 2019, after 45 years of service.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved traveling with his wife, Beth. Above all, he adored spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, Mason and Aidan.
A celebration of Donald's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Company, 10050 Firemans Park Lane, Mill Creek, PA 17060.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Donald M. McNerlin may be made to the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 183, Mill Creek PA 17060.
