Donald Mohring Obituary

Napoleon - Donald Lee Mohring, 72, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on December 24, 2024, at his home. He was born in Napoleon on May 16, 1951, to the late Edwin and Ola (Aschemeier) Mohring. On September 8, 1972, Donald married Kathy Sue Gerken at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township.

Don was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township and a member of the Ridgeville Fire Department for many years. He was a very hardworking man, often working multiple jobs. Don enjoyed his time at the lake where he could relax boating. He made a lot of friends and enjoyed visiting them at the Ten Pin.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy; children, David (Jody) Mohring, Bradley (Kristina) Mohring, and Casey Bower; grandchildren, Drake, Joslyn, Jessa, Samuel, Kathryn, Olivia, Zachary, Tyson, Emma, and Caden, sister, Nancy (Tom) Wiechers; brother-in-law, Tom Tomasello and faithful dog, Miley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Tomasello.

Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gary Funeral Home, Napoleon on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 12 p.m. noon until the time of services at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice or the Ridgeville Fire Department.
