Donald "Beach" Moore, of Philadelphia passed away on November 23rd, 2023 at the age of 77. He was the devoted husband of the late Joan; beloved father of Sharon Dattilo (Anthony), Michael Moore, Donnie Moore (Donna), Thomas Moore (Ashley) and the late Kevin; loving grandfather of Anthony, Jr., Nicholas, Colin, Isabella, Caitlin, Nina, Gavin, Carter, Regan, Giuliana, and Aidan; and cherished brother of Carol (Bob), Larry (Beth), Joanne (Craig), Joe (Dottie), Eddie (Terry), Mike (Gail), Kathy, and the late Robert (the late Connie). Donald will also be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Maryann Wiecke (Robert), many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
Donald was born and raised in South West Philadelphia by his parents Robert, and Anna Mae Moore. Donald was also raised by his step-father Ed Troy who came into Donald's life after his father passed when he was three years old. He was a graduate of West Catholic Highschool. Donald worked for Amtrak for 40 years as a Lineman. He was very active in his community, volunteering his time coach multiple sport teams from Ascension of Our Lord School, and the Ramblers. Through his service he influenced the lives of and was a mentor to countless young people. He loved to golf, go fishing, and boating. His favorite place, however, was the Jersey Shore. Him and his family spent family vacations there, and he even met the love of his life Joan in Margate. The two would go on to raise their family together and spend nearly 50 years happily married. They are reunited again, and Donald will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
