Donald Jay Patton Jr., a beloved son, father, friend, and community member, departed this life on April 28, 2025, at the age of 40. He was born on February 20, 1985, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Donald J. Sr. and Vearnita Suarrette Patton.
Donald was a proud graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 2003, and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He dedicated more than a decade of his life to Whataburger, where his commitment and work ethic allowed him to grow from a team member to the esteemed position of manager. His colleagues and customers alike admired him for his unwavering positivity and dedication to service.
A true gentle giant, Donald lived most of his life in Alto, Texas, and was known for his down-to-earth nature and his tender heart. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was spending peaceful afternoons by the water fishing or immersing himself in the captivating worlds of his favorite video games. His love for the outdoors and gaming was a testament to his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
Donald leaves fond memories with his significant other, Kristi Wickerson of Alto, TX; his parents, Donald and Vearnita Patton of Hope, AR; his children, Jayden Patton and Jorden Patton both of Alto, TX; his bonus children whom he loved as his own, Breanna Wickerson of Alto, TX, JaDamion Hall of Ft. Bliss, GA, Abrianna Wickerson and Chassity Crenshaw both of Alto, TX; his brothers, Christopher Gray (Kelli) of Lillington, NC, DeJuan Patton of Nacogdoches, TX and Devon Patton of Hope, AR. He also leaves nieces, nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, his best friend, Cedric Standard, other friends, and the Whataburger Family.
Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2025, from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, Arkadelphia. Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Gillard Baptist Church in Camden. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in Camden, Arkansas.
