Donald R. Pollard, age 60, of Marion, Indiana, passed away at 4:30 am on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. Born on September 25, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Donald was the son of Ellen (Hohn) Brantlinger. Donald was a graduate of Mississinewa High School. He spent many years working in construction, dedicating himself to his craft. He was known for his strong work ethic and hands-on skills.
A man of many interests, Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and drawing. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., among his favorite drivers. His loyal dog, Tazz, was a cherished companion.
Donald will be remembered for his quiet strength, creativity, and love for the outdoors. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Donald is survived by his son, James Johnson of Anderson; grandson, Cruze Johnson; sister, Mary Stinefield of Marion; nephews, Ronnie Mitchell of Upland and Eldon Stinefield of Marion; niece, Marietta Coffey of Marion; and several great-nieces and great-nephews: Makaylah, Austin, Ashley, Brandy, Brett, Phillip, Wesley, Dillon, and Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen D. Brantlinger; step-father, Otto J. Brantlinger; step-brother, Larry Brantlinger; and brother-in-law, Phil Stinefield.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Donald's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Matthew Trexler officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
