In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Powell Harrison in 2010; a granddaughter, Ashely Nicole Baker in 2001 and a brother, Charles J. Powell in 1964. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Paula (Cropper) Powell; two sons, Rexford T.
