Donald Roach Obituary
In 1970, he received a doctorate in music education from The Pennsylvania State University. From 1970-1974 he was an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of South Florida, Tampa. He then taught at Western Illinois University in Macomb from 1970-1995. During this time, he published three books: Music for Children's Choirs; Handbook for Children's and Youth Choir Directors; and Complete Secondary Choral Music Guide. Donald also wrote many journal articles and published numerous choral compositions for church and schools.
Dr. Roach was a member of Music Educators Conference, American Choral Directors Association and Choristers Guild. Since retirement in 1995, he was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Bethel Park, and sang in the choir and performed tenor solos at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon. Donald also directed two male quartets during retirement, singing at churches and community centers.
Donald's sister, Doris M. Roach and brother, Robert A. Roach are both deceased. Surviving are nieces Robane Beroza of Charlottesville, VA, Pamela (Jeff) Wudkwych of Canonsburg and nephew Jayson (Randi) Roach of Sorrento, FL. Cousins surviving are Jessica and Jenna LaVechia and Gabriel Beroza. Also survived by dear friend, Robert Toboz.
Arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317 at (724) 941-3211. Friends received Friday, June 14, 2024, from 4-7 PM. A service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10 AM in the Chapel at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery. Please add or view tributes at www.beinhauer.com.

Donald W Roach one of the most special of people in my life. Someone who by me and many others will never be forgotten due to the blessed fact that he was such a kind and gentle soul who is contuing to be missed every day and will be missed in the years to come.
