Donald Scott Robitzer

Donald Scott Robitzer, 74, passed away on July 9, 2022 at his Exeter Township residence. He was the loving husband of Marian (Scantzos) Robitzer, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage. Born in Wyomissing, he was the son of Donald J. and Arlene (Haines) Robitzer. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, he began working at the family business, Village Greens Golf Course, before becoming the owner of Hollywood Cleaners in 1976. He later expanded the business, opening multiple locations and delivery routes. He was always active, pursuing many interests such as breeding and racing horses, racing vintage cars, hunting and offshore fishing. But most of all, he loved working on his farm and being surrounded by family and friends. In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by his children: Donald S. Robitzer, Jr. (Heather) of Kennett Square, Melissa Steber (Matthew) of Wyomissing, and Harrison Robitzer of Exeter Township; siblings: Karen MacKenzie (Barry) of Shillington, Scott Robitzer (Janet) of Sinking Spring, and Randal Robitzer (Barbara) of Reinholds; and grandchildren: Lily and Mattie Robitzer, and Sara and Maggie Steber. The family will receive guests from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, followed by a prayer service, Friday, July 15 at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading.
