RAYNHAM----Donald A. Ryan, 75, a resident of of Raynham for the past 18 years, formerly of Holbrook, passed away on August 27, 2025 at the VA Boston Healthcare System-Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Mary J. (Craven) Ryan for 53 years.

Born in Boston, a son of the late George M. and Gertrude M. (McNeil) Ryan, he was raised in Dorchester until the age of 12 when his family later settled in Quincy where he graduated from Quincy High School.

A veteran of the US Army, Donald served during the Vietnam War as an expert rifleman and was honorably discharged. He continued his education and received an associate's degree in Business Management.

Donald was employed by the US Postal Service for 30 years, retiring from the Brockton area

Post office.

Donald was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, The Vietnam Veteran's, The VFW and the Elks of Middleboro. He enjoyed traveling both the US and abroad to such places as Italy, Canada and Mexico and he was an avid football fan.

In addition to his wife Mary he is survived by his children, Donald A. Ryan Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Middleboro, Robert A. Ryan and his wife Kay of Raynham and was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer A. Ryan; he was the grandfather of two grandchildren, Donald J. Ryan and Arthur J. Ryan of Middleboro and was the brother of the late George Ryan, Gerard Ryan and Dennis Ryan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
