James "Jimmy" Erb

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of James, 'Jimmy,' Erb of Mansfield formally of Easton. Jimmy passed away on August 28, 2025 at the age of 69 surrounded by his family.

Jimmy was born in Canton on October 30, 1955, he was the son of Jessica (Brousseau) Erb and the late Francis Erb of Easton.

Jimmy leaves his loving wife Luann Chagnon Erb and his daughter Julie Erb Baker and her wife Jewels Baker, parents of Jimmy's grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Morgan of Easton. He is also survived by his sisters, Frances, Jessica and brother John along with many nieces and nephews. Also Jimmy leaves his sister-in-law Michele Holbrook and her husband Rick of Sandwich.

Jimmy moved to Easton at the age of 13 and was a 1973 graduate of Oliver Ames High School.

For over forty years Jimmy worked at Buddy's Union Villa as the bookkeeper. He retired from Covanta Energy in 2018.

Jimmy loved camping, snowmobiling and vacationing in Maine with his wife Luann. He loved making pizzas at home with his grandson Michael. Jimmy leaves behind many loving friends and extended family.

Calling hours will be held at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington St. (Rte.138) Easton on Wednesday, September 3rd from 9:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral service in the funeral home starting at 11:00am Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, in Mansfield.
