Donald J. Schoenecker, age 74, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, surrounded by his family. U.S. Army Veteran. Born June 14, 1950 to the late Marian and the late Joseph, he was the beloved husband of the late Joyce (nee Ganka); loving father of Jason (Jessica) (ret. C.P.D), Jeremy (Julie), and the late Eric; cherished grandfather of Nathan, Connor, Carsen, Hunter, Caden and Kya; dear brother of Marilyn (Mel) Davis, the late Jeanine (Bob) Warkenthien; and Jim (Ginny); fond uncle and cousin of many. Donald was a lifelong resident of Chicago, and a long-time parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Visitation Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave. Lying-in-state Saturday, August 24, 2024 9:30 a.m at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 4646 N.
