Donald M. "Donnie" Sieber, 80, of Thompsontown, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born Feb. 12, 1944 in Thompsontown.
He is survived by one daughter, Cathy L. Ebersole and husband, Neil, of Mifflintown, one son, Mark L. Sieber and wife, Susan, of Port Royal, two grandchildren, Jenna Hart and husband, Devin, and Jeremy Sieber, all of Port Royal, three siblings, Robert M. Sieber and wife, Eva, of Mifflintown, Rena M. Hosler and husband James H. Jr., of Thompsontown, and Gerald L. Sieber and wife, Donna, of Port Royal.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Judy I. (Sparks) Sieber, on Dec. 31, 2018, one daughter, Wendy Sieber, his father, Merrill E. Sieber, his mother, Emma Jane (Gingrich) Sieber Van Horn, his step-father, Clarence "Lefty" Van Horn and his special friend, Tina Regester.
Donnie was a highway construction superintendent and a farmer.
He enjoyed hunting, late model racing, hauling Amish and talking to people wherever he went. He always said he never met a stranger. He loved his family and they were very important to him.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, at Faith Bible Church, Port Royal, with Pastor Brent Knepp officiating. Interment will be in Thompsontown Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Bible Church, 317 4th Street, Port Royal, PA 17082.
