Donald Gordon Sinks

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, Donald Gordon Sinks passed away at age 73. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma on September 7, 1948 and grew up and lived his life in Oklahoma City.
He graduated from Northwest Classen High School and later studied at Rose State College. He served in the Navy from 1967-1971 as an aircraft mechanic. Donald retired from Bridgestone Tire Company where he spent 32 years working building tires.
He loved coaching football and softball and he liked watching sports on television. He made a difference in the lives of many of his players. He also liked watching old westerns on television, and really enjoyed watching John Wayne. He loved hunting and fishing and often made it a competition.
He is survived by one sister, Carroll Jones; three children, Sheila Belyea, Barbi Davis, and Donnie Sinks; his six grandchildren, Joshua Wright, Kylee Rawson, Trevor Freeman, Michael Wood, Ashlea Squires, and Destiny Baskin; his thirteen great-grandchildren, Peyton, Paylin, Aaleigh, Ashton, Axyle, Lexus, Danial, Kaiden, Malayah, Aaliyah, Marianna, Mario Jr., and Lamar II; and many nieces and nephews. He absolutely Loved his family.
Memorial services are Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Mercer-Adams Chapel where the service will be livestreamed.
