Donald Snyder, a talented artist and resourceful individual, passed away on February 8, 2024, in Dania Beach, Florida. Born on April 16, 1951, in Dobbs Ferry, NY, Donald led a his life with passion and creativity. He grew up knowing challenges, yet still persevered.

Throughout his career, Donald found joy in painting boats in Naples, Florida, showcasing his artistic skills and attention to detail. He was known for his love of music, particularly playing the conga drums, and as a illustrator who reflected life through drawing. 

Donald's service to his country was another defining aspect of his life. He proudly served as a paratrooper with the 101 Airborne Division in the US Army. The Army provided him with a sense of brotherhood, purpose, and belonging that carried  him throughout his life.  In addition to his artistic work and military service, Donald was a devoted son who cared for his mother, Mary, until her passing. 

Despite facing a  continuing life filled with  challenges, he lived life on his own terms. He tragically passing away without any  family  by his side, but still loved.  Donald's memory lives on through those who knew.  Survived by his lifelong friend of 54 years, Timothy Almeida, and Timothy's family, as well some Facebook friends.

A graveside service to honor Donald's life will be held on June 21, 2024 2:30 PM  at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. This gathering will be an opportunity to honor him, as no one should ever be forgotten.   May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on those around him and will be remembered fondly and with love.  Arrangements by T.M.
