Donald Dean Stryffeler of Jackson Township, age 80, passed away on June 29, 2024.
He was born on September 10, 1943, in Alliance, to Elmer A. and Mildred (Rowe) Stryffeler.
Don graduated from Mount Union College with a Bachelor’s in chemistry and earned an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. He worked as a Senior Rubber Compounding Chemist for many rubber companies.
Don was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Akron. He was a member of the American Chemical Society Rubber Division and the Ohio High School Athletic Association where he officiated girls softball and volleyball. Don was an avid Mount Union Raiders fan and loved travelling.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Joan (Nash) Stryffeler; his sister, Pam Hug; niece, Linda (Richard) Cice; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 10th at 7:00 with a visitation two hours prior.
