Donald M. Toth, age 76, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025. Born in Cleveland on August 13, 1949, Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Toth and Marion Toth Biely ( née Monty).

He was the devoted husband of Lynn Toth (née Spencer), the cherished father of Michael (Cynthia) Toth and Chris Toth, and the proud and adored grandfather of Joseph and Rebecca Grace. He was also a loyal brother in law and loving uncle to many, and a great friend to countless others.

Don lived a full and spirited life, defined by service, entrepreneurship, and a love for family and community. He was a past Commodore of the Lake County Yacht Club, an assistant Cub Scout Master, and a former volunteer firefighter for Mentor-on-the-Lake. During the 1970s and 1980s, Don owned and operated Caverns lounge in Willoughby. His family now owns two bars in Mentor, beloved gathering spots remembered by many. Over the years, he worked as a car salesman, ran his own cleaning company, and continually embraced new ventures with energy and determination.

A graduate of St. Joseph High School (now VASJ), Don had a deep passion for youth sports, often sponsoring local teams and encouraging young athletes. He loved riding motorcycles, was happiest out on the water as an avid boater, and carried a true entrepreneurial spirit in everything he did.

Above all, Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother in law, uncle, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to those around him. His legacy will live on in the family he loved so deeply and in the community he supported throughout his life.

Yesterday

I had the privilege of knowing Don for more than a few years. We had some wonderful conversations over those years. He always took time to talk, even when he was busy. I'll miss him immensely! Rest easy now, Don Juan!
