The end result from the book sales and donations led to the erecting the Veteran's Memorial located in the Elmore rural cemetery. Dona enjoyed people and working at Elmer's Super Valu and Juba's as a Sample Lady, where she was called the "Pizza Queen." Her other duties were caring for the seasonal flowers and the greeting cards display.
