Donna Jean Baity

Donna Jean Baity, 60, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at her home of her daughter.

Donna was born December 27, 1964, in Monmouth, the daughter of Meredith W. and Gloria D. (Birdsell) Young. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.

She married Victor E Baity, Jr. in Pekin, IL on April 16, 1992, and he survives.

She was a homemaker. She also worked as a cake decorator at Kroger’s in Pekin for a few years.

She loved making candy and decorating cakes for family and friends. Her family was the most important part of her life. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible.

Survivors include her husband; her daughter, Laura Young; her grandchildren, Ethan Young and KaMya Johnson all of Monmouth; her sister, Sandra (Bill) Daniel of Roseville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Carl Young, Sr. and Ernest Young.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Roseville American Legion, 175 W. Penn, Roseville, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Donna J. Baity Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
