Donna S. Bixler 74, of Navarre, died Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Aultman Hospital in Canton following a period of declining health. Born May 26, 1949 in Cheylan, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Icie Luvinda (Paxton) Estep.
Donna was a homemaker and was employed at the former Navarre Deposit Bank for over 20 years. She then worked for Nickles Bakery in Navarre for several years. She was a member of Shepler Country Chapel near Navarre and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Navarre V.F.W. She enjoyed gardening, baking and especially spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband Lowell Bixler, whom she married September 6, 1969. Also survived by two sons Bryan (Debra) Bixler of Navarre and Bruce Bixler of Massillon; two grandchildren Lucille Helen Bixler, Miles Benjamin Bixler and two brothers Donald (Joyce) Estep of Missouri and Dale Estep of Massillon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Paul Estep.
A private family service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar. Pastor James Simone will officiate and burial will follow in Ft. Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar. A public visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. To share a memory, please visit the funeral home's web site.
