Donna Bothum, age 92, of Bloomington, formerly of Albert Lea, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. 

A memorial service will be held at Bonnerup Funeral and Cremation Services in Albert Lea on Monday, December 16, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM; visitation will begin one hour prior. Donna will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery in Albert Lea.

Donna was born to Willard and Jane Prawl in Omaha, Nebraska on May 18, 1932. She graduated from Omaha North High School in 1951. That same year, she married her high school sweetheart, John Bothum. The two were married for 59 years.

Donna and JD resided in Albert Lea for all of their married life. It was here that they raised their children, Nancy and Mark. 

Donna attended Christ Episcopal Church in Albert Lea for about 20 years. She was a voracious reader, and was a member of a few book clubs. She was member of the Birthday Club which consisted of 12 of her good friends who would meet up to celebrate each other with luncheon, gifts, and much adored fellowship, for 40 years.

Donna is survived by her children Nancy (Todd) Dahl and Mark Bothum; grandchildren Tyler (Erika), Brandon (Doug), Brett, Luke, and Larissa (Tony), great-grandchildren Martin, Jon, Vivienne, Jack, Payton, Hailey, and Calvin, sister Connie Clark, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Jane (nee Strong) Prawl, and husband John D. Bothum. 

Donna will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
