Donna Elaine Bukowski (née Weir), April 13, 1954 – September 29, 2024
Donna Bukowski, beloved wife, friend, and mentor, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, at her home with her devoted husband, Tom, by her side. Born on April 13, 1954, Donna lived a life full of love, adventure, and compassion for those around her.
Donna lit up every room she entered and was the sunshine in everyone's day. She brought joy wherever she went, and her energy was contagious. She was truly the life of every party, ensuring that laughter and happiness surrounded her. To know Donna was to love her.
Professionally, Donna built a successful career as a QA Documentation Systems Administrator, where she worked with dedication at Baxter, APPTEC, and finally Catalent. She was highly respected for her strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail, making a lasting impact on her colleagues.
She was predeceased by her father, Frank Weir, her sister, Joyce McBride, and her mother, Marge Weir, all of whom she loved and missed dearly. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Donna was an avid bowler and shared her passion for the sport with friends. She and her husband, Tom, enjoyed the thrill of drag racing together, and they found serenity while flounder fishing. Donna was also a talented photographer, capturing the beauty of life's moments through her lens.
As a Girl Scout troop leader for Troop 24101, Donna inspired young girls with her leadership and heart, fostering values of kindness, strength, and friendship.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Tom, whom she lovingly referred to as her "rock." She is also survived by many friends and cousins, including her best friends Cheryl Pisa, Leann Finley, Theresa Miller, Ann Heller, Sharon Evans, her cousin Maryanne, her best bud Ruby Todd, her goddaughter Gabrielle Carmella, and Andrea Coghill, whom she cherished like a daughter. All held special places in her heart.
Her vibrant spirit, sense of adventure, and unconditional love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be held in Donna's honor at a future date.
